Understanding the Financial WIP Dashboard
Overview of the Financial WIP Dashboard
The Work In Progress (WIP) dashboard provides a quick view of the financial status of ongoing jobs. These are jobs that have started and incurred costs but are not yet financially completed. This tool helps you efficiently assess their financial completion.
Business Rules for WIP Calculation
- Job Status: The dashboard displays jobs that have started but are not marked as financially completed. It includes jobs that have incurred costs even if they haven't started operationally.
- Financial Representation: Financials are included from individual jobs and not at the group job level.
Using the Dashboard
Currency
- The default currency is British Pounds (GBP). To view data in a different currency, use the 'Currency' filter in the global filters section.
Currency Conversion
- Financial details are converted using the exchange rate from the day the line item was created. This applies to both job financial lines and financial documents.
