Importing contract line items is a crucial step in setting up invoices accurately in BigChange. Downloading the Template
To download the latest version of the template, navigate to Account settings in the top menu, Select Settings and select Forms in the side menu.
- Select Imports. Import hub in BigChange
- Scroll down to find the Contract line items template.
- "Download template (.xls)" to obtain the latest version of the contract line items template.
- Ensure you have the necessary software to open and edit .xls files, such as Microsoft Excel or compatible software.
Populating the Template
- Follow the same procedure as the Contracts Import to fill in the spreadsheet with your data.
- Line 1 - This is column headers and if you hover over the red triangle in the top right it will give you more information about the data to enter.
- Line 2 is just dummy data, so please remove before importing.
- Ensure all required fields are completed accurately to avoid errors during the import process.
Importing Contract Line Items
This import cannot be conducted through the Import Hub.
- Instead, it must be imported directly into the invoicing period of the invoice you are setting up.
- Go to the invoicing period of the contract where you wish to add the line items.
- Select the "Import Line Items" link to begin the import process.
