BigChange offer a choice of vehicle cradles so that your mobile tablets are perfectly located whether in a car, van or truck.

Types Of Cradles?

There are two types of cradles that we have, portable cradles and permanently mounted cradles. There are a few difference between the two options which are highlighted below:

Permanently mounted

• The cradle is fitted by a certified auto electrician.
• The cradle is hardwired behind the dash for constant power.
• The cradle is drilled to the dash in an agreed location at the time of install.

Portable option (suction mounted)

• Heavy duty suction mount cradle.
• The cradle is charged by a 12v or 24v cigarette light charger.
• The cradle can be fitted by yourselves and moved between vehicles when needed.

Cradle Charging

The cradles BigChange supplies provide a "trickle" charge to maintain battery whilst idle in the vehicle, rather than to charge.

We recommend that your devices are charged via the a mains power outlet overnight to ensure that each working day is started with 100% battery and to keep the device in the cradle as much as possible so the battery does not drain fully.

If an application is in use, such as a SatNav or JobWatch being open, the app may use more power than the cradle is supplying so the battery may still deplete. The rate at which the battery will be depleted will be slower than the rate at which the battery would deplete without a cradle.
