Understanding the Dashcams

Overview and Implementation

  • Initially, the feature will be enabled per site, and customers will see a new field showing the serial number of the camera linked to their vehicle registration.

  • The dashcam used is a MiTAC camera, which is always recording but only sends snippets when specific events occur (e.g., harsh acceleration, distraction).
  • Events are linked to journey data, allowing users to view camera events through the "Show Journey" feature on the map.
