Using the BigChange Express App

BigChange Express is a new Open BETA progressive web app designed to replace the legacy JobWatch Express app.

The JobWatch Express app is no longer supported and will not receive any updates or enhancements and will be removed from the Play and App stores in June 2024. 

This new app provides a better user experience, meeting the latest technical and security standards, while offering the same functionalities for monitoring vehicles and jobs on the move.

What is BigChange Express?

BigChange Express is a responsive web app that allows users to access a mobile-first experience by visiting a URL and downloading the app. It provides:

• A dashboard with insights into daily data.
• Real-time tracking of vehicles and resources via a combined map and list view.
• A jobs list to keep users updated on scheduled and completed jobs.

Purpose of the App

The main purpose of BigChange Express is to give business managers, fleet managers, and other employees access to tracking and job information while on the go.

Use Case Examples:

• Business Owners: Monitor their business out of hours or on the move.
• Fleet Managers: Track vehicle locations to mitigate the impact of breakdowns.
• Engineering Managers: Monitor engineers' job progress without needing a laptop on site.

Using the BigChange Express App

You will need to have downloaded the BigChange App before you can start using it. The BigChange Express app is designed to provide users with essential insights and functionalities on the go. This guide will walk you through the key features and views available in the app, ensuring you can make the most of its capabilities.

To log in to the BigChange Express app, you need to use your BigChange site credentials. This includes your username and password that you use for accessing your BigChange account. Once you have entered these details, you will be granted access to all the features and functionalities available in the BigChange Express app.

The Dashboard

Daily Insights

The dashboard offers a daily insight, similar to the web interface dashboard, of what’s happening in your business today.

The tiles on the dashboard are non-interactive.

• Use the 3-line menu (top left) to switch between Dashboard, Tracking, and Jobs view.

Tracking View

Switching Between Views

Here you can switch between Vehicles and Resources.

• By default, vehicles/resources are grouped if they are located near other resources.
• As you zoom in, individual resources become visible.

Vehicles/Resources List View

Below the map, you will see a list of either your vehicles or resources, depending on which view you have selected. These are separated either by vehicle groups or resource groups.

• Use the search icon to find specific vehicles or resources. Start typing, and the list will narrow down based on your search criteria.

Vehicle Daily Breakdown View

Selecting a vehicle or resource from the list view allows you to view a daily breakdown of 'today'.

• By using the arrows to navigate through different days.

Detailed Breakdown

Below the map you can see the vehicle or resource's route for the day. There is a detailed breakdown of duration, distance, cost, etc. You also have the option to drill down further into individual tracking events.

Viewing Today's Jobs

Here you will see a list of today's jobs.

• Note: You can only see the jobs for today.
• The status icon to the left provides a quick visual of the job's progress.

Detailed Job View

• Tap any job to view more details.

Job Card

• You can also see the PDF Job card for the specific job.
