This article provides a guide on how to use Note Hints in BigChange. Note Hints can assist users in making informed decisions by providing useful statistics from their BigChange system.
Understanding Note Hints
Note Hints function similarly to the hints that appear when scheduling jobs. They provide useful information, such as the number of Notes against a specific contact, which can assist in decision-making processes.
Enabling Note Hints
To enable Note Hints, follow these steps:
- Select the Profile Icon from the top menu
- Select Admin settings
- Select Web Users from the side menu
- Select Roles
- Tick the checkbox to enable "View hints while creating notes"
Please note, a minimum of 5 Notes must be completed before their owner will appear in the hints.
Setting up Preferred Settings for Note Hints
Users can also set up their preferred settings for Note Hints and tailor them to be available only for specific Note types. To do this:
Select on the Profile Icon from the top menu
Select "Admin settings"
Select "Contacts & Notes" from the side menu
Select "Note types"
It's important to note the caveat shown beneath the settings when viewing the note hints. Response times for some Notes may be delayed due to external factors and should not be attributed to the Note owner. Users can also edit each note type to control the number of months to be used in notes hint statistics, up to a maximum period of 12 months.
Conclusion
Note Hints are a valuable tool in BigChange that can assist users in making informed decisions. By understanding how to enable and set up preferred settings for Note Hints, users can tailor the tool to their specific needs. Remember to consider the caveats when viewing the note hints.
