Maximising Resources with Job Hints

BigChange provides various insights when you create or schedule a job. These insights, known as job hints and statistics, are based on the contacts you enter when creating a job. This article will guide you through understanding and utilising these features effectively.

Job Hints

• Notification of Jobs: You are notified of jobs either waiting to be scheduled or already booked at the same site. This allows you to potentially complete additional work simultaneously, thereby reducing travel costs.
• Job Hints Details: When a job is created and a contact is entered, a new hint appears detailing the number of jobs scheduled to start within the next seven days and those created but not yet scheduled.

2. Locating Unscheduled Jobs: To easily locate unscheduled jobs: Select the eye icon next to the contact.
   • a. Select jobs.
   • b. From the job status, select unscheduled.
   • c. Unscheduled jobs list view.

1. Changing Time Period for Job Hints: If you wish to change the time period used in the job hints from seven days:
   • Log in as an administrator.
   • Select Account settings.
   • Select Settings.
   • Select General Account Settings.
   • Under section Schedule
     
     • Number of days in future to hint of jobs at same contact
     • Default minimum number of jobs that must be completed before resource is displayed on job hints

Job Statistics

• Job Statistics Overview: When a job is created and a job type is entered, statistics can be seen stating the average duration for that job type.

• Viewing Top Performance:
  1. Select the View Top Performance link to see the fastest resources, best success rate, and most punctual resources.
  2. Use the prompts in the pop-up to filter resources based on specific groups and change the number of jobs used to provide the insight.

• Changing Default Number of Jobs: The default number of jobs can be changed in the administration settings.
• Combining Job Type with Resource: When combining a job type with a particular resource, you can see:
  • Average completion time for that resource.
  • Success rate.
  • Punctuality.

• Job statistics are updated at midnight.
• Statistics are only displayed if there are more than five previously completed jobs in your system per resource, job type, and time stock combination.
