Scheduling Jobs over 24hrs

In BigChange, the maximum duration for a single job is 24 hours. For jobs extending over multiple days, the recommended approach is to use the 'Group job' field in the 'New job' window.

This article will guide you through the process of setting up multi-day jobs efficiently.

Setting Up Multiple Jobs (group job)

Creating a New Job

  • Open the 'New job' window in BigChange.
  • Select the 'Group job' field.

  • Add at least one job before saving. You can do this by:
    1. Navigating to the Jobs tab
    2. Select the Add a job icon.
    3. Importing an existing job using the Job reference.

Importing an Existing Job

  • Select the 'Import Job' option.
  • Enter the Job reference of the existing job you wish to import.
  • Select 'Import' to add the job to your schedule.

Setting Recurrence

Once a job has been added, you can set a recurrence to automatically schedule the job over multiple days.

PLEASE NOTE The recurrence option will only become visable once you have allocated a date and time to this job.

Configuring Recurrence

  • Select the job you have added.
  • Add the date and time of the first visit

  • Select 'Edit' next to 'Recurrence' settings.
    1. Recurrence = Daily
    2. Recur every = 1 day(s)
    3. Recurrence end = End after 5 occurrences
    4. Recur to = Resource, once scheduled (if the same resource)
  • Confirm the settings to apply the recurrence.

You will notice that within the group job each day is scheduled as a new visit, allowing you to track the times on and off site daily.

Reviewing the Schedule

  • After setting the recurrence, review the schedule to ensure all jobs are correctly added.
  • Make any necessary adjustments to individual job timings or details.
