BigChange allows you to create and customise message templates for various purposes, such as alerts and financial descriptions.

Navigating to Job Type Message Templates
To create or modify message templates in BigChange, follow these steps:
- Select the Account settings icon in the top menu.
- Navigate to Settings.
- Select Schedule [side menu]
- Select Job Types
Select the job type you requires and navigate to the Templates tab.
Here you will see 2 types of mesaages which you can customise using a mix of text and the available 'dynamic keywords (hightlighted in blue)'.
- Default message for alert sent to customer when resource approaches
- Financial description
Alert Message Templates
Alert messages are sent to customers when a resource is approaching a job. You can personalise these messages using a combination of free text and keywords.
- Keywords availabe include:
- Company name
- Estimated time of arrival at the job
- Resource name
- Registration plate details of the resource’s vehicle
To customise an alert message:
- Enter your desired text and keywords within the Default message for alert field.
- Save your changes.
Where is this used in the system?
This can be enabled for each job manually by selecting the Alert checkbox on the respective jobs. By selecting this box the system will automatically send a basic email to the person you add in the 'Send to' field.
Financial Description Templates
The Financial Description box allows you to specify what information will be included in the Description box on the financial tab of a job. This information is displayed on any financial documents created for the job.
To edit a financial description:
- Navigate to the Financial Description section.
- Enter the information you want to include.
- Save your changes..
Where is this used in the system?
This financial information will display on the financial tab of jobs as a line item.
