Understanding the role of a primary person in BigChange

The primary person for a contact is the person who will be selected by the system, by default, to receive information when creating new jobs, notes or sales opportunities against a contact. Other persons can be selected when performing these tasks, should their details be stored within BigChange.

Adding more than one person to a contact, enables you to configure what information those individuals receive, including job cards and financial documents.

Steps to Set a Primary Person for a Contact

Follow these steps to set a primary person for a contact:

  1. Select 'CRM' from the top menu.
  2. Type the name of the Contact in the search box
  3. Select the contact from the list view
  4. Select "Edit" followed by the "Persons" tab
  5. Select the name of the person you want to make the primary contact, followed by "Make Primary" and then 'Close'.

Please note, the primary person is the default choice for new tasks related to that contact, but you can always select another person if necessary. Should the person you wish to make the primary person isn't already in the system, you will need to create them first, before setting them as the primary person.
