Recurring Job Group Template

  • Updated

Ever wish that you were able to create a recurrent series, including variable job types, within your job group template? When creating a Job Group Template there is the option 'jobs in group are recurring', informing the system that there is an irregular pattern that will recur periodically, x number of times.  You can additionally opt to link the jobs if preferred. Finally, these can be imported en masse within jobs and at a contract level, if required.

So when might this be used?  If, for example, you have the following recurring job group template for Darlington International:

  • Service Type A: Site Survey, Service & Machine Run Test (160 minutes) with a 3-month interval.
  • Service Type A: Site Survey, Service & Machine Run Test (160 minutes) with a 3-month interval.
  • Service Type B: Site Survey, Machine Inspection, Service & Machine Run Test (265 minutes) with a 6-month interval.
  • No Service: no work is carried out at this interval because Service Type B requires a 6- month interval. Setting this up as a recurring job group template would ensure that this pattern is scheduled as a repeat for x number of times, as per the contract, without the need to repeatedly input it.
