This article provides a guide on how to effectively use the Phone Book feature in BigChange. This feature is crucial as it allows you to store and retrieve phone numbers easily within the BigChange app. It also serves as a settings page where you can configure which resources can reply to which group of web users.

Where to find the Phone Book

You will find the Phone Book under the Admin setting for Resources by navigating to:

[Top menu] Profile (Icon) > Admin settings > [Side menu] Resources > Phone book.

Selecting the Resource Group

To start using the Phone Book feature, you first need to select the

Resource Group
Resources mobile phone - These are taken from the Mobile Phone field when first setting up a resource.
Web users mobile phones - These are taken from the Mobile phone field for the web user.
Other numbers - These are any other numbers which you deem potentially useful, eg breakdown recovery, local suppliers, etc.
Messaging - Where you can select which web user groups these resources can message or receive messages from.

Choosing Resources mobile phones

Next, you can select which other resources' numbers you wish to appear. These numbers are taken from the Mobile Phone field when first setting up a resource.

Selecting Web Users' Mobile Phone Numbers

You also have the option to select which Web Users' mobile phone numbers you wish to appear. These numbers are taken from the Mobile phone field for the web user.

Storing Additional Useful Numbers - Other numbers

The Phone Book feature in BigChange also allows you to store any other numbers which you deem potentially useful, such as breakdown recovery, local suppliers, etc.

Select Add to manually add a phone number.

Once you have saved your numbers, you must select the Send Icon to send an update down to the mobile devices.

Configuring Messaging Permissions

Finally, you can select which web user groups these resources can message or receive messages from. This helps in maintaining a streamlined communication process within the app.
