Tracking Resources and Vehicles

This article provides a guide on how to set up and manage tracking options in BigChange. Understanding these features is crucial for effective resource and vehicle management.

Displaying Resources on the Map

To display a Resource on the Map, it must be designated as 'Tracked' during setup in the back office. Administrators can do this by navigating to Account Settings > Settings > Resources > Add - edit > select a Resource > Edit > Tracking settings.

If you have set up Resource tracking from a device, you can also enable Can set themselves as passenger. This means that the Resource can use the passenger setting on their device when not driving themselves and the journey will not be included in their driving scores.

Displaying A Vehicle On The Map

To display a Vehicle on the Map, it must be designated as Tracked during setup in Account Settings. To check which vehicles are tracked/make changes, go to Account Settings > Settings > Vehicles > Add - edit.

To edit a vehicle, or add a tracking device, go to the tracking settings of the relevant vehicle.

It is recommended that strict caution is used before changing details of a tracking device fitted within a vehicle, since mistaken attribution will result in vehicles displaying incorrect locations.
