Lock a template to restrict editing

In BigChange, templates can now be locked to prevent other users from easily or accidentally editing them. This added layer of security ensures that templates are only modified when necessary.

Navigating to Templates

To access the templates, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Account Settings.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Account, from the side menu.
  4. Select Templates.

Locking a Template

  1. Navigate to the template you wish to lock.
  2. Select the template to open it.
  3. You will notice a Lock option.
  4. Select Lock to secure the template.

You will now notice a blue cross icon next to the template description. This signifies that the template has been locked for editing and can only be unlocked by the user who locked it.

When a template is locked, any user attempting to edit it will receive the following message: “This template is locked and cannot be edited at this time.”

Unlocking a Template

  • Navigate to the locked template.
  • Select the template to open it.
  • Select 'Unlock' to make the template editable again.
