Creating a Job from a Quote or Invoice

Creating a job from a quote or invoice in BigChange is a straightforward process. This guide will walk you through the steps to ensure you can efficiently convert financial documents into jobs.

Selecting the Financial Document

Navigate to the CRM in the top menu.

  1. Select financial document from the side menu.
  2. Using the filters to locate the quote or invoice you wish to create a job from.
  3. Select the document to open it.

Assigning the Document to a Job

  • Select the "Assign to Job" button.
  • A popup window will appear.

Creating  the New Job

  • In the popup window, ou will see a number of options to select:
    1. New group from template - This allows you to create a new job from a 'Job group template'.
      • (a) - Select the Job group template from the drop down list.
    2. Existing job group - This allows you to add the financial document to an existing group job.
      • (b) - Add the Job group reference number to the field. 
    3. Existing job - This allows you to add the financial document to an existing job.
      • (c) - Add the Job reference number to the Job reference field. 
    4. New job - This allows you to create a new job. This option will bring up some additional options:
      • (d) - Copy to job description.
        • Internal note.
        • Note to client.
        • Copy attachments to new job.

Selecting Information to Copy

  • Review the available information that can be copied.
  • Select the relevant details you want to include in the new job.

Finalising the Job Creation

  • Confirm your selections.
  • The new job will be created with the selected information from the financial document.
