How to Move and Reallocate Stock & Equipment in BigChange

Managing stock and equipment efficiently is crucial for maintaining smooth operations. BigChange provides a straightforward process to move and reallocate stock and equipment between locations or vehicles. This guide will walk you through the steps to move stock and equipment and reallocate stock from one vehicle to another.

Moving Stock & Equipment

  1. Navigate to the Stock & Equipment in the top menu.
  2. Select either Stock or Equipment, depending on what you need to move.
  3. Choose the items you wish to move by selecting them, then select Move.

Initiating the Move Process

  • Select the "Move" icon to begin the process.

  • A popup screen will appear, prompting you to complete the necessary fields.

Completing the Move

  • Enter the quantity of stock you wish to move in field
  • Specify the destination for the stock in field
  • In the example provided, 18 out of 19 items are moved from van stock to a customer location.
  • Select "Move" to finalise the transfer.
  • The system will update, showing the deduction of 18 items from the van and their addition to the customer's location.

Reallocating Stock Between Vehicles

  • Navigate to Fleet & Resources in BigChange.
  • From the side menu, select Fleet.

Selecting the Vehicle

  • Choose the vehicle from which you wish to reallocate stock.
  • Select 'view' to access the vehicle's details.

Reallocating Stock

  • Go to the Stock tab within the vehicle's details.
  • Select the "Reallocate all" icon to transfer stock to another vehicle.
  • This feature is particularly useful when a vehicle is taken out of service.
