What is Open BETA

Open Beta means that these features are still in the testing phase, and we've made them available to you for early use. While we believe they are functional and exciting, they might not be completely polished yet.

By using these features, you can help us make them even better! You might encounter some quirks or unexpected behaviour. Your input is incredibly valuable, and we welcome any feedback and suggestions you may have during this phase.

What is DaaS?

DaaS is your gateway to seamless, flexible, and secure data extraction. Using Snowflake, a cutting-edge data warehousing system, you can access a treasure trove of analytical data directly from BigChange and combine it with other sources in your data warehouse.

Why DaaS?

Tailored analytics: Freely extract and analyse data, crafting custom reports that fit your unique needs.

Blend and erich: Incorporate data from other systems, enriching your insights.

Stay ahead: Harness data to predict demand, optimise operations, and more!

Who is DaaS for?

DaaS isn’t suitable for everyone. If you can answer yes to all of these questions, then it will likely be a great fit. If you can’t, then our existing Dashboards and Reporting offering will be best suited to your needs:

• Do you have a data lake or data warehouse that you use to aggregate data?

• Does your company use cloud storage to connect data sources?

• Do you use BI tools to collect and share data insights from multiple systems?

• Do you have a data science or data analytics team that is familiar with creating data pipelines using industry standard methods?

How does DaaS work?

Upon signing up, you’ll connect to our Snowflake instance. You won’t grapple with raw data; instead, you’ll access ‘data marts’ – designed for easy and efficient analytics. Below is a simplified flow-chart.

DaaS Security

While DaaS utilises Snowflake, we’ve prioritised your data’s safety. We strongly recommend safeguarding your Snowflake credentials diligently.

How fresh Is DaaS data?
Updated hourly to ensure you always have recent insights.

Can I write data back?
DaaS provides read-only data.
Any data writing should use APIs/web services.

Is this available for non-UK customers?
Yes! DaaS is global, though data definitions will be in English, and time data is in UTC.

Is there a cost for this service?
In order to support ongoing development, there is a cost payable to BigChange. This is based on the size of the organisation and estimated data throughput. In addition, customers who utilise this service will need to enter into a direct agreement with Snowflake.
