The BigChange Collaboration Network is designed to facilitate seamless cooperation between businesses, allowing a 'Job Originator' to assign tasks to a 'Job Contractor' (sub contractor). This system ensures that all job details, documentation, updates, controls, and alerts are efficiently managed, enhancing the customer experience.
Job Originator
Creating and Assigning a Job
Step 1: Originator Creates a Job
- Begin by creating a new job as usual, but assign it to a 'Job Contractor' instead of a resource.
- Select a Contractors Job Type from the drop down list.
- Fill in the necessary fields such as:
- Job Type (originators).
- Worksheets as required.
- Job Details.
- Assign any constraints.
- Attach documents, such as a purchase order (if required). Ensure the Job Contractor/Originator visibility box is ticked.
Job Contractor
Receiving and Scheduling the Job
Step 2: Job Contractor Receives and Schedules the Job
- Set up an alert to notify you of new jobs received through the network.
- Upon notification, the Job Contractor can view job details, constraints, and attached documents.
- Schedule the job to one of your resources.
- Both the Job Originator and Job Contractor receive notifications when the job is started and completed.
Step 3: The Resource
- The resource receives the job on their device, complete with details, stock, equipment, and navigation if needed.
- On the device, the resource will:
- Accept the job
- Drive to the location
- Start and finish the job
- Complete any required worksheets
- Both the Job Contractor and Job Originator can access photographs, worksheets, attachments, and the job card.
Tracking and Invoicing
- The Job Originator, Job Contractor, and, if configured, the customer can track the resource's job completion in real-time, including any alerts.
- The Job Contractor can invoice the Job Originator for the completed job, and the Job Originator can seamlessly invoice their customer.
