Using Entity Data Fix to Correct Input Errors

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to use the Entity Data Fix feature in BigChange. This feature is designed to help users correct data input errors by allowing them to move data from one entity to another.

 

Navigating to Entity Data Fix

To access the Entity Data Fix feature, navigate to: [Top menu] Profile (icon) → Admin Settings → [side menu] → AccountEntity Data Fix.

Selecting the Entity Type to Update

Once you're in the Entity Data Fix section, select the type of entity you would like to update from the dropdown menu.

Entering the Appropriate Reference Number

After selecting the entity type, you will be asked for a Job Reference/Reference/Invoice Reference, depending on your selected entity type.

 

Selecting and Amending the Contact Name

The system will display related results based on the reference number you entered. You will then be asked which contact you would like to amend under the 'Field to change' section.

 

Updating Associated Elements with the New Information

After selecting and amending the contact name, you will be given the option to update associated elements with the new information. You can tick or untick the checkboxes as preferred.

 

Saving the Changes

Once you're satisfied with the changes, click the icon at the bottom to 'Update entities'. A popup window will open showing how the changes will impact and asking for confirmation. If you are happy with the changes you have made, click to Save.
