Processing Data Subject Access Requests

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to process Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) in BigChange. DSARs are a key aspect of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 1998, allowing individuals to request, correct, delete, or cease processing of their personal data.

 

Navigating to the DSAR Form

To process a DSAR in BigChange, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to: [Top menu] Profile (icon) → Admin Settings → [side menu] → AccountData Subject Access Request.

Completing and Sending the DSAR Form

A form will open which needs to be completed for each request. After filling out the form, click to send the request. A popup confirmation will appear.

Receiving and Accessing the Requested Data

You will receive an email containing a link to the requested information. Click on the link in the email to download a zip file containing all the data you currently hold on the requestor. This file can then be sent to the customer as requested.

Using CRM Notes to Track DSARs

CRM Notes can be used to record and track the receipt and completion of all Data Subject Requests.

 

Creating Templates for DSARs

Templates can be created to record requests and responses for Data Subject Requests.
